Afternoon all,
grey, miserable and wet here but at least i dont have to go out. Grandson day today and he's been such a good boy. He entertains himself quite well and is keen to show me what he has learned since i saw him last week.
He told me he was tired a few minutes ago. I put him to bed and he is now sleeping soundly.
His Daddy will be picking him up early today. They are going out. Spoke to my eldest son last night. He is well and is still working and still 'on the waggon'. He has my middle son staying with him too and trying to sort him out.
All is well.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon all,
Bought all the Christmas cards and a few stocking presents this morning. Changed the bed. Made some ginger biscuits and now just going to make a sausage/bean dinner thing with egg on top that I saw in a Newspaper magazine.0 -

I got a reply on the offer I made for the chalet bungalow and they want £25K more than that(I offered a little over the "offers over".
I politely declined and am looking at a couple of bungalows next week that are smaller and will still need modernising etc.
DD is coming to drive me to a weigh in tonight but expect to have put on as meals have slipped a bit and I miscalculated what I should have when eating out.
DD is spending the day tomorrow and working from home and another Dd will be with me on Saturday. Sunday I am viewing a house with DD for her and SIL so looks like a busy few days.

Elona, it wasn't the home for you, when it's the right one it will all go right.

Floss is right Elona, 'What's for you wont go by you'. It wasn't the right house for you but one will come along, please don't panic buy, make sure you are happy with everything.
Epic rain tonight but just had a lovely long hot shower and I don't have to go out so I have my pjs on, the fire's lit and I'm happy!0 -
I agree with you about not panic buying . If the worst comes to it I can put everything in storage and stay with dd .
Annoyingly a few months ago there were several bungalows coming up all modernised ready to move into. Now everything "needs modernisation!"
Does anyone know about council tax if somewhere has been extended? The chalet bungalow is two tax bands below our present house but I would hate to buy somewhere and then the tax band shot up because it had sold and been "flagged up" as improved IYKWIM.
Youngest has just phoned me to say she can come home for Late Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day :j:j:j:j:j:j:j

Still raining here. I went to bed early again and now got a temperature. I've taken a dose of NN so that will help bring it down and help me sleep. Perhaps tomorrow the fever will have been broken.0
