FIT Payments

What is the norm if there is such a thing for Fit payments to be made. I have been awaiting a payment for a reading I sent to the coop on the 16/ sept no sign of payment yet. Wondering if this is the norm?

I would post your question in the 'Green and Ethical' section of MSE; that is where most of the solar PV owners and experts contribute.

I'm with First Utility. Reading taken mid September, payment due on the 28th of this month.

Just another way for energy companies to get more interest on our money I suspect.

A key point here is that no specific energy company is 'buying' your generated/exported electricity. In truth, the energy company is acting more as an agent of Central Government. For this reason, many of the smaller every companies do not pass on FIT payments until they have been paid. You can of course switch to another FIT payer but is it worth all the hassle for 3 months of delay? At the end of the day, you will be paid everything that is owed (provided of course that Uncle George doesn't change the underpinning Law on FIT payments/terms)
