Euros to GBP

Hi,

I got married in the summer in Germany but we left the money received as gifts with my wife's parents who put the money in their account.

We are meeting up with them in Brussels on the weekend, my question is would it be cheaper for them to bring the money with them in cash and we transfer it when we get back to the UK or would it be cheaper for them to transfer via a specialist?

It's probably not the right time of year for this suggestion but if you brought Euro cash home you could exchange for sterling with any work colleagues or friends who are travelling to Europe in the near future. I've done this before with a rate that benefited both parties.

Between 5 and 10 thousand I think.

So would you say it's better to get it transferred rather than bring it back to the UK?
