Well no one then could quite have predicted in the midst of the then crisis how many tens/hundreds of billions the government would throw at the housing market via QE, FLS, Help to buy in various forms, 400 year low interest rates and more to boost prices.
If the 'market' had been allowed to function who knows where we might be now. When the government intervenes - the price of things always goes up.
Its been very much at a negative cost to a functioning economy and social cohesion and our young people.0 -

Certainly in prime London.
Less obvious that this is the case in the suburbs though - east London is still going crazy although a lot of properties don't seem to be selling at some of the mad asking prices.0 -

Prices are not down in Novemenr as much as they usually are suggesting a strong year ahead for London prices.
