Hi,
I'm planning out this shed
ebay.co.uk/itm/POTTING-SHED-8x6-PENT-ROOF-WOODEN-SHED-GARDEN-SHED-WORKSHOP-GREEN-HOUSE-/111826515312?hash=item1a09613570:g:AmYAAMXQVERSwXQy
& I know I need to insulate it, but a) I'm on a budget, b) Celotex, Kingspan, Actis or??? & c) roughly how much would I need to buy & what else would I need to finish the job properly please?
The shed is to be a studio for lapidary & jewellery making so will have quite a lot of machinery in it,, I need to put up shelves & cupboards & things & I'd like to keep as much space as possible
Many thanks

Tbh I'm not sure adding insulation to that will be particularly worthwhile as there is a large area of single glazing and a single skin timber door, meaning about 1/3rd of it is going to be leaking heat - if you really want/need a well insulated working area, this isn't it!
I would wait until the money was there to build/buy something that could offer a comfortable space or just accept that this is a potting shed and will feel like one. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
As mentioned above, you would need to replace that single skin door.
For the glazing you could get some polycarbonate (used in secondary glazing) to place over the current single glazing with a gap. It will help a little.
For the walls and ceiling I wouldn't go to the expense of Kingspan, I would use polystyrene sheets (say 50mm) as they will do a good job for less cash.
Don't forget to insulate the floor too, 20mm polystyrene should be a good barrier and add a nice softness to the floor.0
