The pc is fine playing music and speech but there is now no music when playing games . Any suggestions please?

Check the Mixer by clicking the 'speaker' button in the bottom right corner (W7).
It has to show all programs sending sounds to the speakers and their levels.
Can it be that some other sound device is in the game settings instead of the speakers, e.g. some bluetooth headset?0 -
