Ultimately it all boils down to what you agreed to at the time of starting the membership.

    Given the website states:

    ZBOX Subscription
    £19.99
FREE UK Delivery on all orders
Free Welcome box when you buy The Force ZBOX

Please Note: Your first payment will be taken upfront, with all subscriptions auto-renewing at the end of the payment term. Your ZBOX will be dispatched within the first week of each month, and we'll charge your card at the end of each period.

So you agreed to that and paid your £19.99 for the first month (to quote you, " but the £19.99 was for the first order, and was paid, however there were 2 free gifts, and their accounts system apportioned parts of the £19.99 invoice to the gifts, listing the Box as £8.00.")

I've underlined the two points which, to me, suggest that the items were paid for and delivered. So let us break it down:

    1. The 2 free gifts have no (Zero) value irrespective of what the invoice says

    2. You agreed to purchase a "subscription" which was "auto-renewing", the total cost being £19.99

    3. The contract was accepted either when you paid or when the first box arrived! You accepted this for £19.99 per month (See point 2)

Thus, you are being silly in arguing something which is nothing. You owe £19.99 per month for the duration of the subscription, until you cancel. It is as clear as day.

It would be different if you had 'agreed' to £8 on the checkout screen but you are arguing the toss over an invoice which has included free gifts! Why are you not outraged about initially being charged for gifts which should have been free?! - that's actually a really interesting question, as if you are right then you shouldn't have been charged more for your first order! Why aren't you disputing the fact that the true value of the first order is only £8, as it included gifts which should have been free?

Sorry, but that is inaccurate. If they have been charged for, on an invoice, they are not "Free" and they have a value.

So they haven't been "charged for" the free welcome box irrespective of what the invoice says.

The free welcome box will, however, most certainly have a cash value; just not as part of the contract here...

You agreed a contract at £19.99 a month, that's what they can charge regardless of any accounting errors they have made.

The gift was free and it still is. The gift has a monetary value of £8 to them not you, all they have done is mistakenly charged you for that and not the subscription. By charging you the extra £11.99 they are simply correcting the mistake.
