24/25.8.07 what small dfw thing will you do or have you done today?

Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:

Welcome to the Bank Holiday weekend !!!!!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

So, today I will:
  • do piggy comps, clicks and surveys
  • have a NSD
  • check online banking and update spreadsheet
  • do storecupboard meal
  • meal plan for next week and prepare very minimal shopping list.
  • carry on preparing future budgets and spreadsheets
  • do some admin that needs doing
  • start thinking about the content of workshops I am going to teach, otherwise they won't ask me back if I have nothing prepared!
  • not increase my debt in any way
  • be positive
Have a good day everyone xx

Hi hypno, hi all. Today I will:
    - look *seriously* at buying a breadmaker
    - buy some trainers, to save my socks.
    - finish cleaning and stocking my new fridge [beams!]
    - do any surveys and clicks I can fit in - ooh, clicking for the breadmaker, excellent.
    - sit on the beach! We have *sun*!!!!!!
    - also been slaving away over the laptop for about two hours - net result, not buying a breadmaker, but *am* financing my porch without having to cash in a Toisa from a million years ago, thats meant to be part of my pension fund. It'll be tight, but compared to what people on here have to do, its nothing at all. I'm dead chuffed.

Eva, if you have done the matched bet correctly, it shouldn't matter if it is a draw - what have you done the bet on/against?

So, if you have bet on, say, sunderland to win at coral, and lay at betfair, you are laying on them not winning, which includes the draw!

PM me if you need more help!
