Joint Policy or not?

My building and contents insurance is due for renewal and I will of course be searching all the comparison sites.
My wife and I own the property outright and just the 2 of us live in it.
Is there any advantages/disadvantages to putting the policy in joint names?

Better to put it in joint names should something happen to one of you and the policy is in one name.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

If you decide on joint names there have been reports on here that changing who is the first named alters premiums (so try dummy quotes with you and your partner alternatively down as the "lead" and take the lower of the two)0
