Various electrical works (Glasgow)

Options
Hi there, interested on feedback as to whether or not the following items are reasonable for electrical work in Glasgow (electrician comes recommended/good feedback, just checking before committing to spending a fair bit of cash). Confident that work will be done correctly and that correct papework will be provided.

Where I've said exc. materials, this covers things like socket covers etc. The basics (wiring, connectors, the boxes behind sockets) are included.
  • New fuse board/consumer unit £400 inc. materials
  • 8 LED downlights in kitchen (currently 2 pendant fittings) £320 inc. materials
  • Single socket to double socket conversion £50 each exc. materials
  • Add double socket £50 each exc. materials
  • 4 IP rated LED downlights in bathroom £200 inc. materials
  • Like for like light fitting replacements £30 each exc. materials

We have lots of similar items to be done and a few bits of more involved wiring, not enquiring about these as it would probably be hard to make comparisons.

    • New fuse board/consumer unit £400 inc. materials About right for a decent quality CU, upto 12 circuits, including testing & certification. (SELECT, as Scotland)
    • 8 LED downlights in kitchen (currently 2 pendant fittings) £320 inc. materials Ok, so I'd expect to charge £40-50 per "point" (light, socket, switch) for new install. Cabling for downlights can be a balls-ache on ground floor as ideally need to get access above, works out as £40 each so OK - IMO (In My Opinion)
    • Single socket to double socket conversion £50 each exc. materials See above re "point" price.
    • Add double socket £50 each exc. materials See above , depends how far to incorporate new into ring - does that include plastering over any new chases? I'd guess not at that price.
    • 4 IP rated LED downlights in bathroom £200 inc. materials See above, £50 each inc. material, fine IMO.
    • Like for like light fitting replacements £30 each exc. materials Ok, IMO.

My replies in RED, my costings based on what I'd charge in West Yorkshire.

Cheers and yes, does include plastering, so seems like a pretty fair quote all in.
  • Is this a rental property?

If so you should make sure you use a registered company.

Even if you aren't renting I would suggest
1 x smoke detector (mains) in lounge, hall and a heat in the kitchen - all interlinked and mains
