Board game's actually a good idea.

Only if the family are into board games.

In our house, we'd have thanked you but the present would have gone straight to the charity shop.

As they are distant family so you likely don't know an awful lot about what they already have/like doing - with such a big age range money is probably the best option. I don't like giving kids money rather than a gift but in this situation I'd go with money

    Ours too.

I can't imagine any 18 year old I know 'demeaning' themselves to play Frustration (when they've got a perfectly good phone/ipod/tablet to amuse themselves with) with a sibling 13 years younger.

How is about getting their photo printed as the puzzle? Itš 2 in 1 a board game and a unique personalized gift

My adult kids range from 23 to 18 and we will play lots of board games over Christmas. Card games too.

My kids play lots of board games when living away at college also. 'Aww,' I thought, 'how lovely.'

Then they showed me the 'new' rules they'd come up with to turn the games into drinking games:(. Gutted.
I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

I would say a huge hamper with a family night in theme, maybe save some money for them to rent/download a movie, popcorn, sweets, crisps bottles of pop/juice,a pack of cards(everyone knows go fish and snap) We got a giant pack of cards from home B*rgains for £1.99 and we played play your cards right. Maybe the game its a chicken, its geared for kids young and old and based on pictionary. its easier for younger kids but has a harder version to choose for the older kids.
Charades for kids is another good one x

I second the idea of a gift card where they could all get something to eat - perhaps somewhere like Frankie and Benny's? Assuming that they all get on and would go out somewhere like that as a family.

With the lack of smileys, it's hard to know if your post is serious or not - but there's a massive age difference between 5 & 18 and 18 & 23.
