AXA seeming to ignore NCD evidence

Options
Does anyone know if it is AXA Insurance (true but unstated) policy to only accept evidence of No Claims Discount by email or fax? I've never had a renewal company seem to lose posted documentation before. As a "goodwill gesture" AXA are offering to phone my previous insurance company and I am now waiting for their next excuse/threat to cancel my policy. Is there a way of finding out what a company's customer service is like before renewing with them? I mean a sort of Trip Adviser forum but for insurance companies? I can't believe how much time I am wasting trying to get AXA to find and read my previous insurer's renewal notification which I have now sent to them twice. I dread to think what kind of hassle I will get from AXA if I need to make a claim.

    Email or post.

Yes, you need to send us your proof of No Claims Discount (NCD) straight away to validate your new car insurance policy.

You can either send it by email it to
ncd@axainsurance.com, or post it to AXA Insurance, PO Box 925, 9 Fudan Way, Stockton-On-Tees, TS19 1NL.
Please send us your policy number along with your proof of NCD.

We will confirm receipt of your proof of NCD by email within 72 hours, and you can check that we've received it by logging in to your
    'AXA Account'
. We are unable to return your proof of NCD to you so you may want to take a copy for your records before sending it to us.
