Faulty DIY guitar kit

Tricky one, please bear with me.
Five months ago I bought a DIY guitar kit from Amazon. All components there, everything seemed fine.
For the last five months I have been putting the kit together and spent over £30 on paint and lacquer and a further £20 getting the electrics done.
When I put the neck on, I noticed it was twisted. I took it to a professional for opinion snd he told me it is a fault in the part.
To be fair to Amazon, when I contacted them they told me I could have a full refund. Which is all well and good, but, I would have to start all over again when all I need is a new guitar neck.
I have told Amazon this snd am awaiting a response. I'm just interested to know what my rights are. Any advice?
Thanks

You might get more joy in getting the part from the manufacturer. Alternatively, if Amazon don't want the existing kit back buy another one with the refund and use the bits you need?0

Thanks. Am currently in discussion with Amazon re exactly that at the moment. Currently they want the completed guitar back, but it is totally unmarketable as it is, they would destroy it. They have offered me £15.00 compensation. In fact they told me they have compensated me already, which I have rejected.
The supplier only sells complete kits and I can't find out who the manufacturer is. It's keeping me occupied whilst I wait for my next kit to arrive.... Yes, from Amazon.0 -
Buy the same one swap the neck over and return the new one for a refund. Some companies don't deal in spares and parts so it's usually the only way around problems like this.0

Unless you return it, how can you prove it is warped? The need to inspect at or soon after the point of delivery applies just as much to components as to finished items. You are not going to get compo for the paint etc, as that is a consequential loss. You've been offered a full refund upon return and that is all they have to offer under SOGA if the goods are faulty. A 'repair' (i.e. in this case a new neck) is at their discretion, and presumably no more available to them than it is to you direct. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks all, taken on board. I have photos of the damage I've offered to Amazon. But they've gone v quiet last couple of days. I wouldn't expect compen for paint etc, my moan really is I'd have to do it all over again same expenditure, same time spent. I enjoyed the process of making the guitar, but want the one I've got! Will keep looking for a new neck.0

Thanks all,
Reached an impasse with Amazon. Have had £30 refunded, I have sourced a new neck in China. Which costs £36. Here's hoping.0 -

Why didn't you just do what post #4 said? It would have been easier and cheaper for you and you wouldn't have had to wait for a new neck from China.0
