Surface Pro 4

So thought it was time to get a Surface now Windows 10 is upon us and is good. Pre-ordered mine but this looks to be finally the version that is good.

Keyboard has arrived first & also the first minor issue. I clearly stated Blue on my order, you only have Black, Blue, Red, Teal for the new Surface 4, from the MS store.

It's purple or maybe dark blue but it's NOT blue. I call MS to enquire.

"We don't have a purple keyboard on the site, the one you ordered was blue".

YES, I KNOW, I'll send you a photo if you don't believe me.

"Oh you don't need to do that. Well if you just start a return and once it arrives we'll refund you".

Erm, what? No replacement? Surely you can just send me the correct colour as it was your error.

"No, sorry, we don't do replacements. You'd have to order another again".

Fools. I'm close to cancelling the whole order.

    NB Perhaps you wanted 'Bright Blue' not 'Blue'?

    It really is a 1st world problem, I shouldn't be that bothered. Colour isn't even that bad but it's the principle :)

    I think you've got the blue one.

    The one you want appears to be called "Bright Blue".

    I guess their returns procedure keeps things simple, at least for them. I was reading earlier today that between 25% and 40% of online purchases are returned, which must be a financial and logistics nightmare.

    :huh: I think you've cracked it!!!!

    That's odd but that is new. That wasn't there when I ordered and those choice weren't available. The one I picked were of the 4, blue being the bright blue one. But looking at your link it does appear that it is the "blue" one :)

    Still, if Amazon can send replacements and sometimes even before the return has arrived, would of thought MS could handle that as well.

    I'll swap you my lovely black Surface Pro 3 cover for that horrible colour keyboard if you like?!

    I think MS need to get their act together. If you put a Surface Pro 4 in the basket it then asks you to pick a cover and these were the colour choices when I just tried it...
