Hi,
I have used the tool to claim for reclaimed bank packages on Martin Money tips using the tool Resolve.
Since I used this I have had two phone calls(today) and tex message from Lloyds bank saying they are dealing with it.IM not with that bank.On investigation the number is 01422868895 they are not the bank even when I questioned them he kept insisting it was.(check Goggle.)
Today I had a letter from Thomsonlegal thanking me for speaking to them concerning my claim and they have sent all the paperwork to fill out.
Not going to fill it out.More annoyed that two separate firms have somehow got my details .Is this normal and will my bank really be in touch. As I said I have made no phone calls, spoke to anybody just filled out the resolve form on the Page concerning banks.
Any help please.

There are a number of scams where some dodgy CMCs pretend to be from your bank (or a bank)
Packaged bank account complaints are easy and a CMC (even if a genuine one) is not required.
Make your complaint to the bank directly and not through some dodgy method .I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Thanks for reply.
The dodgy method was directly through Martin Money tips on there main site under the heading
'Reclaim Packaged Accounts'.I think this needs to be looked at and people made aware.
Im going into bank Tue to have chat.

I have had 4 phone calls from different numbers and 2 more letters from Thomsonlegal.
All of these are concerning the bank buddles.Really annoyed that this has been passed on from a tool I used on this site.I really do think this should be looked into and people made ware of this.0 -
I just took a look at the article on Resolver. It says: it may choose to sell aggregated, anonymous data, to companies that want to see how their complaints handling compares to others. It's important to note it NEVER sells your personal details.
So, maybe it is just coincidence. We all get these cold calls.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Had two more phone calls and a email from redress4u.uk.com all enquiring about the bundle my bank mis sold me.Funny how I never had these phone calls or mails ,letters before I filled the form in.Not a coincidence Im sure. Really annoyed now they have my phone and email .Who can I complain about this too on this site.
So far 2 letters ,6 phone calls and a email since I filled out that form last week.0 -
hi, these scams are becoming more common, i dont think it would of come from using the tool. reason being is i use the tool and have had more of those calls recently, but my partner who does not use the tool and never has, has had even more of those calls than me in the last few weeks.
i think it is just that the scammers are on the prowl. what we have been doing is ignoring all calls that we dont know the number, if its someone genuine they will leave a voicemail and then you can contact your bank directly to follow up.0
