reclaiming bank charges

Does anyone know if the bank had an obligation to disclose any exclusions to travel insurance provided on their pay for bank accounts prior to 2005?
i am trying to claim fees back due to preexiating med condition and bank are aying they had no requirement to discuss any exclusions. They also say there was no exclsions pre 2005 which seems a bit contradictory!
do i take this further?

How and when did you get the account? Do you still have it? What is your actual complaint? What made you decide to make a complaint?

Do you mean verbally or in writing. Is your pre-existing medical condition one that is excluded. The booklet I get with mine has a long list of conditions that you don't need to tell the insurer about.

  • I'm interested to hear what people think of this. I have an old account that was excessively charged prior to 2005. It left me in a lot of debt....

  • Iopened the account in 1998.
Yes i still have it as very slack and changing.
i have complained as a recent leaflet states exclusions.
nobody at bank asked me what med condition i have
  • The bank havent asked me what medical condition i have

All a bit confusing and not really clear where you are trying to go with this one. If you mean should they have told you about every exclusion in the policy then no they didn't and still don't have to do that. It is sufficient to draw your attention to any "significant or unusual" exclusions and provide you with written material explaining everything in detail. It's still not clear if your medical condition is excluded or not
