Geting to Alton Towers

Hi all, i know about the Midland Mainline offer but they dont do the one day I want to go!
Does anyone know any other way of getting from the train station to Alton Towers (and back again)? Ive tried google and spending hours going through loads of sites with no luck.
I really wanted to spend the night at the hotel but I dont want to fork out £20 odd for a cab to get us there.
And if anyone could tell me, is the first 2 weeks in June really busy or becasue the schools dont end until July its a bit quiter? I was looking to go on the 7th of June (staying night of the 7th and having another full day in the park on the 8th). But if I can't find anything i'll go on the 9th with Midland for the day.
I remember when this was just a little website! :money:

Don't know what it's like in June but I know some local schools have day-trips to Alton Towers before the end of the summer term. But even then, I wouldn't have thought it would be as busy as a weekend.

I have a friend who always goes at the end of July - she says it's not that busy then, she couldn't believe how quiet it was the first time she went.

Have you contacted Alton Towers to ask about transport?

No, do you think they would know something? I'll try them later then.
Just to add, I dont drive. I will one day but with 3 failed driving tests just not anytime soon.

Coming from London, me and 11 mates got the national express to stoke, then the local bus run by first direct, i think it was called the X something.. It is a biatch to get to tho,

the local bus took a good 50 minutes twining down country lanes. I never realised it was in the middle of nowhere!
