House Insurance Question

Hi All -
Please can I have some advice / recommendations as to picking a provider for home buildings and contents insurance.
I have input my details into confused.com and almost every provider has come out much much cheaper than my current provider. (surely that shouldnt be a bad thing).
Currently i'm with Bradford and Bingley and my annual premium for both buildings and contents is £366 - the excess is £100 on both buildings and contents in the event i made a claim.
The quotes on confused.com start from £135 with Swinton Insurance and then there are many other providers such as More than, E-sure, AA, Halifax, Kwik Fit and Admiral who are all below £200
Also what are the fine details that you need to ensure that you ARE covered for in the event you do ever need to make a claim that are not always given on standard cover (ie burst pipes etc). The reason i ask this is that i dont want to penny pinch and go for the cheapest quote only to find that if i ever did make a claim my excess was either sky high or i wasnt covered for certain aspects.

Definitely avoid Swintons and esure
Kwik Fit are a broker so it would depend on which Insurer they're quoting you with.0
