Help - Shipperless Electricity ...

I have often wondered where the meter was. I thought it might be in another part of the building. The switch board is way above the cupboard door and is dark. I could reach the switch box if I stood on a few steps if one of the tabs had been triggered with the tips of my fingers - and not directly looking at it - because it was well above my eye level. (Doesn't happen very often.) I can understand why I didn't see the meter box as it is really is WAY up beyond there and is framed in the same metal as the switch box. Why they put it way up there heaven only knows.0

Meunier - now that we have decided that there is no problem with the work going on later this month - can we turn our attention to the subject of electricity costs and tariffs. Are you still with the same electricity supplier as you were 19 years ago? If so there are probably big savings to be made by switching supplier.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Its odd how you know the term "shipperless " By the sound of it you have nt paid a penny in 19 years for your electricity and now you re worried that EDF are going to enter your property and discover your long term fraud and so are coming on here looking for a way out of it. To say you have just discovered the meter is laughable, not at all believable.
I fully expect EDF to come into your gaffe, do their business and leave you to carry on with free "shipperless " electricity like many others.0 -
The internet - the other day - was how I learned the term 'shipperless' - I had never heard of it before. As I said this is (quite obviously) not my area of expertise. When I moved in here I tried sincerely to find someone to take me on - with no luck WHATSOEVER. No one seemed to want my account. It was rootless. I felt - or was made to feel by the people I tried to speak to - totally inadequate. I put it down to me. I simply didn't have the right language at the time to express myself. As I said I finally gave up. You can only bang your head against a wall just so many times. It was - I finally determined - a surreal world for me in this one regard .. one obviously beyond my limited understanding. After this box is replaced - and with the benefit of your considerable and most kind guidance herein expressed, I am going to strike out again. My grip of the lingo is now a little more secure. This time I won't take no for an answer ... because I want to sleep in peace. Even I - simpleton me - know this is not right.0

I really don't think that the OP is going to find a more competitive tariff than the one they have been on for the last 19 years...No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

I'm not sure what is going on re metering and bills but I think meunier will be happierNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Read the post. The OP hasn't had a bill or meter read in 19 years...and has apparently not bothered to try to find the supplier since some early efforts back in 1997.
They clearly won't be 'happier' if they get back billed for 19 years...No free lunch, and no free laptop0
