Capital One still paying cashback?

Hello, I heard about the changes with certain Capital One credit cards losing their cashback last summer.

Spotted posts on here about people receiving letters to inform them of the changes to their Classic cards (0.5% cashback)

However I never received one.

Noticed that their cards no longer offer cashback for new customers.

I wondered whether my cashback had stopped, so I've checked online on my account and found where it said how much cashback they owe me, £10.50 ish. Looked back at my statements since January (when they paid cashback last) and that cashback is correct for my transactions this year including the months since June. So it looks like I'm still accumulating cashback with them.

Anyone else found this?

(I know it's not exactly huge, but it's better than nothing! I only use the card when Amex isn't accepted)
Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,000

    I'm still receiving mine.
  • I am also accruing some cashback too.
  • Maybe depends on when card was taken out?

My version of the card is pre £10 anniversary bonus and 0% on foreign transaction fees, so maybe avoided the cull. It's just bog standard but with the half percent cashback.

See I was thinking I'd take out a Nationwide credit card to get the 0.5% but obviously no need! At least for now.

I signed up during the £10 cashback promo, I actually remember contacting them when there was a topic here saying they've been cancelled.

This was the reply I got:
I'm pleased to confirm that the changes we've made to cashback don’t affect your account. This means, you'll still earn cashback of 0.50% on all purchases including behaviour bonus of £10 as normal.

EU Regulation has changed the rules. Cashback as an incentive will probably die a death in due course. As lenders scrap the schemes.

Yes I still get mine - tiered up to 1.25%.
However I took out an Amex Plat Cashback when CapOne were in the midst of informing everyone, so that is now my primary cashback card, and am only using the CapOne when Amex isn't accepted (meaning I probably won't reach the spend target to get the best rate of cashback on it this year).
