overdraft fee

I used to have an overdraft of £1000 which I paid off two months ago and cancelled the facility. However I have been charged a 'overdraft daily usage fee' of £12 this month, I currently bank with nationwide and have a flexdirect account which means its all online.
I have sent them a message which will get responded to within 2 working days but just wandered if anyone has any experiences of this and that i should not be getting charged this?!

Charges are normally advised to you between 6-8 weeks before being processed.
It could be that this is the last one before you cancelled.
Wait for their response - if you are polite they may refund or cancel it.0 -
Nationwide don't have a £12 charge in their tariff for the FlexDirect account. They've either made a mistake or, more likely, they're billing you for 24 days overdraft usage at 50p per day from your previous statement period.0

Couldn't you phone them and find out immediately?0
