Hiya
I have a HP Pavillion 15-p199sa and have purchased FM2016
I know that laptops as a rule run hotter than desktops but using my temp monitor it is running at an average of 72C when gaming with a max of 91C
I just wanted to check that is within acceptable levels as dont want to damage the laptop

Check the fan and vent isn't blocked with fluff and dust. Does the fan come on full tilt when gaming to try and keep the system cool?0

Use it on a hard flat surface if your not already, the term "laptop" is just a marketing buzzword for "portable computer".“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

You will probably end up frying your cpu if it's running at 91degC.0

Not really comparing like with like, an i3 vs a gaming laptop!
Some laptops use desktop processors to get extra grunt/reduce price, and they can run a lot hotter than mobile ones. I had an early i7 HP, one hefty laptop but gloriously powerful. Just from touching the metal case it was quite blatant where the CPU lived.0 -
