Have made a cooked breakfast for DD, SIL and middle DD and loaded dishwasher. DD and SIL are off to London till tomorrow evening.
Middle DD has a couple of friends staying over later so going to make up the bed and hoover the room later while trying not to scare the cat who hates the hoover.
No idea what to cook DD for lunch but will see if there is some quorn in the freezer and do something with courgettes, onions and tomatoes.
Still considering the bungalow I viewed and will need to make a decision soon. Might go back to the area and see how long it takes to walk to the shops etc.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Good Morning everyone, the dreadful news from Paris was the first thing I got this morning as I came downstairs and I'm sickened by it and my heart is full for the people of France. Such wickedness will certainly never break the French nation or make them stop fighting for others in causes they feel need their support but their pain will be immense and their hearts will be very heavy indeed.
I did manage to sort out most of the store room yesterday and came across several boxes of books etc belonging to the girls which had been piled in a corner I obviously hadn't investigated for years! I've moved one set of shelves, thrown out a small book case that has seen better days and consolidated stocks of things so all is much tidier and things we don't use often are now up in the loft. Looks much better and will be even nicer when respective daughters have gone through their belongings and devided what can go and what will go home with them. Then I'll have space in there for a single sleeping unit of some kind, I've cleared an entire wall and will look for something that folds up and stacks in as small a space as I can get.
Nothing much planned for today, He Who Knows is out with Cookie and I will do some cooking for the coming week so a home day which will be pleasant, look after yourselves, Lyn xxx.0 -
Morning all,
Pouring with rain here too, washing in the machine but will have to use the dryer today.
DD is still in bed as she has had a full week at placement and had a assignment to work on for uni this weekend and her dissertation so I will leave her for a little longer.
I have woken full of cold with a nasty cough so I will not be going out today, im going to have a clear round this morning then park my self on the sofa and do as much Christmas shopping as possible (snap TA)
Not sure about dinner tonight but OH can cook whatever it is !

Good morning everyone,
The news from Paris is horrifying my thoughts are with them.
Well its rather wet and grey here today, although at the moment not windy, not sure how cold it is yet.
We shall be going out to do the shopping shortly, I need a good stock up as stocks are running low, and I really need to start thinking about Christmas, but as I have no money, it will have to be planning at the moment with a last minute frenzy.:rotfl: Next year I plan to be more organised, but as DH's job has been so unreliable it is hard to plan as we never know how much money is coming in. He is at last starting a new job this week which pays a regular wage, so it will at least be easier to plan and I will be able to plan more for the New Year, and get our debts sorted.
I am determined to get the house cleaned through this weekend and sorted out. I am also making good headway with all the washing and ironing so should be up to date by the end of tomorrow:rotfl:
Will do a meal plan and plan a shopping list and then head out.
JackieO have a lovely day at your friend's wedding.
Have a good day everyone x.SPC 11 #4450 -
Morning, (((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
We caught the beginning of the Paris new as we were going to bed last night. I am horrified that once again innocent people have been targeted. Paris is a lovely City that holds great memories for us. I am past being sad I am angry at what is happening, whose turn will it be next??? slaughter of innocent people in the name of religion........I think not, these are dedicated persons, I cannot call them people, with a distorted view of the world and their place in it.
Sorry but thats how I feel.
Its cold, very little wind, no sun......glad not to have to go out.
Elona, please think very carefully about that bungalow, try and see past what needs doing, does it transmit into a comfortable home for you that you can be happy in? See what your daughters think, but then make up your own mind.
Hugs to Hester, I hope you have a peaceful weekend to give you strength for what is to come. Take care and try and get some extra rest, I am sure you are going to need it.0 -
Well, the carpet fitters are here - nice friendly chaps but one appears to be wearing someone elses teeth and the other obviously had a right skinfull last night (or this morning) and is filling the house with alcohol fumes. Fun times!0

Just a bit of an update.
Youngest's car passed its MOT. Hubby bought the new (to him) car. He collects it next weekend.
Do you remember me telling you that Soldiers' (My daughters' adopted son in South Africa) birth family had a house fire destroying most of their household possessions? Well every year on his birthday, the girls take him to visit his biological Dad. This year (his birthday is on Tuesday) they took a load of donated household items with them to help the family start again. Someone even donated chickens so they can eat the eggs and maybe sell what they dont use.
Here's a few pictures if your interested.
A quiet night for me tonight. Hubby is feasting on the telly he missed in the week and me, on the computer.
Have a good evening all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
