That was his word not mine. :rotfl:

Me on the other hand, I only spent pennies buying that glitching coke zero and seems you spend a few after drinking it too. :o

    nice :D

Sorry I missed you Mrs Moo I hope you are ok.

I was repositioning my buckets. We sprung a leak overnight last night. We have a building attached to our kitchen which I guess was a wash house in a former life. We are leaking where it joins onto the kitchen and water is dripping through the door frame. As its not stopped raining all day it's been relentless.
I didn't even bother trying to get it sorted today as no one in their right mind would be up on a roof in this weather. I'll get on it on Monday

That reminds me of a great tip I heard once if you are hosting a lot of males - put a ping pong ball in your loo and you won't get any splashing as they can't resist aiming at it. Although I heard it in the context of birthday parties for small boys I think it would apply just as well to bigger ones :D

    Most definitely. :rotfl:

Next time we have visitors I will fish some out and it might save the cardboard that is still down in our downstairs loo after we decorated.
  • I wondered if I can pick your brains, as you're such a clever lot!

DS is going on a coach trip to Disneyland Paris for New Years Eve. Am pretty jealous, would love to go but not in a position to healthwise this year. Anyway, I digress....

He leaves at 7.30pm on 30th, and will be back around 10am on 1st. 2 nights sleeping on a coach.

He wants it to be as cheap as possible, so looking for food ideas that might survive that length of time. I think he is going to take a cool box with ice blocks on the coach, so I suggested he could freeze some sandwiches and pasties.

Anyone done this kind of thing before and have some good ideas?

I would have thought sandwiches, sausage rolls and pasties would last fine without freezing provided in airtight container. I would avoid meat thought cheese will last better. Take drinks for coach trip (and park as useless security. I would advise him to have a nice big mac donalds just before getting on coach to come home as we found it very reasonably priced (in Disney town just outside actual park). Presume can leave bag on coach and be getting back on same coach again.
To be honest we didn't find the cost of drinks too bad I think the hot dog place inside the park was about 7 euros for a full meal. Or just use to buy a drink. Water bottles can be filled from fountain.
So cheese sarnies, pringles as travel better sausage rolls ect for coach and money for a couple of drinks and hot food before travelling home.
The journey can't be too bad from you to port as I can drive it in 2 hours. Not sure of distance the other side as we flew. Providing he doesn't want souvenirs could do comfortable for €30 or less if being tight.

    Hope that helps a bit.

    Is this available in A?

Is it on 3 for £1 in A? Along with, allegedly, the non-Hazelnut Snickers (48g). Snickers (48g) is 2 for £1 in M. So, too, is the Hazelnut (49g) version - but that's irrelevant if it's not on a.com as that won't appear or compare against anywhere. Maynard Wine Gums (52g) may be trigger to 2x Snickers (48g) if, indeed, the offer showing online for the Snickers (48g) actually matches up with what is instore. Otherwise you won't want hitting a 3 for £1 price from online if you were paying full price instore.
