Hi all.
Still tying to fathom things out, I would like to look into prices but still dont understand how to do it! For example, how are the cerial bars a glitch! From looking at the receipt, you get an extra 10pc off the lowest shop, so why not just shop there, as some 10PC's do not amount to much.
my nearest sada is a few miles away.
Some peeps comment that some of you dont find your own glitches and rely on others, but it isnt easy if you dont know how!
Im a 'lurker' as can't contribute, but always look in.
Someone mentioned madmuppets, I found him really nice, and cant believe I have lurked that long.!!!
That's the trouble with a lot of normal items (ones that aren't glitching) - they aren't 10% cheaper on a lot of them at all, they are the same price as everywhere else, on a lot of things - the "only" things they tend to be cheaper on is their r'backs and a few offers such as Tuc Crackers (and, even against M, that is no longer true) - the items that people pick up as impulses or because they think they'll good - people love their r'backs:wall: - and lose them money and make A 10% cheaper if they even check their receipt. With most normal grocery items, a lot of which will be a pound or SP stuff anyway, 10% of the price amounts to a few pence per item:(. With 8 items at £1 averaged out and same price as everywhere else, that's just 80p. Hardly worth bothering with - you may as well pick up a womble, where they've bought much more, and happened not to buy too many r'back items or that £2 cheese:mad:, and get more than the 80p from it. I know the 80ps may add up - but, really, it's hardly worth it - I'd probably lost more down the grid in the road from time to time than that - and I find it better concentrating on the slightly bigger, better ones. Sometimes it is helpful that, even when an mbuy is picked up, the mbuys tend to be more expensive prices than some straight offer price elsewhere:rotfl:, so even that nowadays does sometimes help I find. Sometimes :(it makes A much cheaper against everywhere else if they'll all full price (or if they're on an equally expensive mbuy but the offer numbers don't quite match up) and it all averages out - which I suppose is what they want to be the case.
Excluding the r'backs, their shelf prices don't seem to me to be 10% cheaper than somewhere else at all - more like same price. Just like Aldi and Lidl excluding their "offers". All same as flippin' everywhere else! Which, if you think about it, makes sense - they all know very well what their competitors are doing and usually need to have their products at the same prices as each other so people don't go elsewhere. There's no point being cheaper than somewhere else - you need the highest price you can get to maximise your profit margin. If you are "underpriced" compared to elsewhere - and part of any good business is identifying those areas where you are lower priced than the competition - then you are best putting your price up to match everyone else's.
I think a lot of stuff in A must be same price as the others, or not 10% cheaper than at least one of them and it's all about putting it into the right shopping basket. I don't think there's probably much comparable - other than their own r'backs and regular items like grapes, £2 cheese, Lurpaks when they're not on offer elsewhere - all our usual disliked items on wombles - on which they are a lot cheaper. You can make do without non-comparable items that give N/As vs everywhere and thus, in one sense, are useless as they give no return. They can't be much that you couldn't find some comparable equivalent for, that wasn't 10% cheaper, and live fairly well solely on those items. We don't need non-comparables, except perhaps if they are SP items and the comparison is against Sains:mad::rotfl:.0 -
1x Bradburys Mild & Creamy Dutch Edam (160G) £1.50 N/A
1x Wyke Farm Ivy's Mature Cheddar (150G) £1.50 N/A
Compares nowhere but there is a 3rd on receipt
bar code 505407015110 which scans on msl as cby bowland cheese by weight 200g 40p or £2 kilo. they paid £2.
on receipt as deli cheese 3 for £3
infact I don't think the 3 for £3 cheeses are showing on a.com.
I don't know if any of them would compare in our favour.0 -

I got sent that code yesterday , it said it was because I did two orders in a certain time frame(wasn't aware of this at the time) but did say it was restricted to certain accounts, works on mine but not ohs
Hope you are feeling better each day and enjoying the extra time you have not having to spend it in hospital x
Well that just proves you and Di did more orders than me.
I didn't get that code, but I did get a £10 off £100. Must resist. :eek:0 -

I sent one to my sister, but hadn't realised I should have ticked the box to get one myself, so I tried again and sent one to my niece. It seemed to work and I was able to put my own details in to get one for myself.:)N1LDA:D0 -
