Sorry to raise the spectre of weevils but grateful for the reassurance. Will check my flour!

My reading of the t&cs is that Barilla vouchers (with long expiry dates) can't be got after tomorrow midnight. But I may have misunderstood. A computer savvy friend says we should not delay printing out. Don't know how others do two printouts of each but I doubt that's legit and since it is so easy to get them...

    Love the porcupine pasta title!!

And that debt thread is a horror story. Made me feel a bit sick. Have always tried to live within my income.

I don't post here often but had to come out after reading about weevils.:o I've just discovered some bags of flour in my storage cupboard have weevils in them.

All Asda Smart Price flour are infested (they all have BBD of May/June 2016) and a few other bags from other supermarkets had a few crawling on the bags, but not inside the bags.

I'm pretty sure Asda flour was the source of the said insects! I called Asda' s helpline but they just said take them back to the store. I don't want to take those bags back to the store though, I have about six bags of them so they may think I didn't store them properly or something... So yes, watch out for weevils in Asda flour!

Make sure you vacuum the cupboard and shelves thoroughly where they were stored to prevent further infestations. Something I read when I had the problem. Some people recommend freezing flour as soon as you bring it in the house have never tried it myself and nit sure whether you keep it frozen.

All my £1 pasta emails came into my yopmail account marked as spam. I then couldn't forward them onto any of my own email accounts (presumably because they are spam)

So I saw a "no spam" button which I thought would mark the emails as not being spam......pressing that button deleted them all :rotfl:

If you click the button again they will reappear, it just hides them.
I've now given up trying to find a way to unspam them, it's rather annoying.

Is your storage cupboard cool and dry HZA?

Hi, yes, it's cool and dry. I have about ten bags of Waitrose flour (I bake bread every day and stock up when my favourite ones are on offer) and they are perfectly fine. Even a slightly out of date bag of wholemeal flour was without bugs.:) It's just Asda SP ones that are infested.

I used to purchase SP flour whenever I did C&C but dont think I will in the future.:(

Thanks for the advice, Tiny Shoes.:)

I cleaned the cupboard as thoroughly as I could and wiped down with eucalyptus essential oil. I read somewhere it prevents further infestation. Unfortunately my freezer is packed so cannot try freezing method. :(I so wish I had a big chest of freezer!

Some great deals at Morrisons. Wonder when we will get comparisons ?

All varieties of Oreos 3 for £1.

    McCoys 6 pack 73p.

Topside (bubbs) beef £4 per kg.

    Hth xx
Also fresh whole Salmon is £4 per kg
The £3 frozen meal deal is also excellent value, although I expect most of you have enough pizza and Ben & Jerry's already!
