Lots of talk of stoozing earlier....Oh how I wish those days would come back....they make a few quid APGs look so insignificant when you used to be able to make £10K pa very easily using money from banks/credit cards. Back in the day my stooze pot was around £150K-£175K....happy days....

Anyone else notice people having conversations with themselves today ?

I frequently talk to myself.... and still do not understand myself!!

    A question pretty please

Does anyone know what the procedure is for joining the Royal Marines and how long it takes - the various steps.

Someone I know has just texted me to say they have joined. It's quite possible that they have, they were off line for a week in Harrogate so is that where the interviews take place?

Perhaps they are not quite as far down the joining process as they think they are and don't realise, trying not to pre- judge or be cynicle at this stage - I only really know what happens for people going into the army.
I imagine that everyone does the same 12 week basic training and this is the same for all of the services.

Also they are going in as an officer

Tesco orchard dishwasher tabs have arrived. Seems months ago I signed up for that one.

    Welcome, Kmet.

I posted the link about the lady struggling in Gravesend, nice that some people have been able to offer suggestions. She started a new thread today: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5360895

I do it all the time, I've got 3 or 4 useful bits of info alongside a question or a query usually about a theory or something I can't find on the search.
After about 6 messages I realise I am the only one left awake and everyone else has wondered off ...:rotfl:

What's the best way to prepare for the Royal Marines Potential Officers Course and the Admiralty Interview Board?

    A
Making sure you have a good understanding of current affairs and the world situation is really important - start reading and watching the news! Making sure you're fit is a given, and keep up-to-date with what the Royal Marines are doing - the website's great for that. Also take a look at psychometric books and work through the exercises they give you. Finally, and most importantly, be positive and be yourself.

Suggest an entrance test and interviews.
