Is anyone else having problems with talktalk? My internet keeps going on and off and I can't ring out or receive calls on my landline phone!! Can't phone them and customer services are offline. Been like this for 3 days.
Not been with them recently so no. I did have a few problems with reliability when I was with them but been with Sky and had no problems. Sound like you might need a new line putting in. We had to contact them via someone else's phone and then give them a mobile number to contact us on. They did a couple of tests (ringing us on the faulty line and testing down the phone) and couldn't work out what was wrong. The BT engineer came and put in a new line (I don't know why the old one suddenly failed like it did) - took about 2 weeks before they came:( (some of which was due to my own tardiness in chasing TT up - but I do have a disability which explains why). Ours had problems with the internet going on/off, affecting things - I can't remember if we heard crackling or something on the phone line, whether it was constant white noise or just couldn't talk to anyone when we tried to phone as line kept being intermittent.
It turned out not to be our fault so we didn't have to pay anything for it. I'm not sure it was Talktalk's fault as such either - may have just been the line and different companies involved in different things. I hope you get some compensation for the line being unavailable for several days (although it's no help with being in that situation at the moment).0 -
So APG's work on SS now? As last time I tried (just over a week ago) it worked ok until the end and then some how voided itself off?
Yes, Scan barcode.. then the reciept.. it does say type in the number but you dont need to.. I tested scanning another recipet and its clever and it knows.just like if you try and use the same voucher again.. it knows. YES.. I had to test it.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Just wanted to make sure asda had sorted that out hehe.
JUST make sure you goto the coupon bit on the SS before you scan the bottom barcode or it alarms go off and all the staff come runing over lol (ok just joking) but you need to get to the coupon part or it can error.
Gift cards dont work.. it will allow you but will reduce the APG so that you pay for it. (yes I can sort that but not much need to now)0 -

They give a landline number to use for your mobile if you have one 0203 441 5550. Or try a callbox? Not with TalkTalk but it should not be out for that length of time, definitely sounds like a problem on the line, have you got a dial tone at all?
Also, have you got more than one extension in the house? If you have go the the main socket (should be a split socket), unscrew the bottom plate and VERY CAREFULLY (so as not to dislodge wires) pull it out, under this you will find another phone socket, this is called a test socket and is straight on the end of the line with no other extensions possibly interfering. Try plugging your phone and/or router in there and see how that goes. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
I think Dormouse may be in Scotland - I'm not
In that case, it may have all ended in Scotland. Looks like the Scottish APG has caught the mbuy on the Cod.
Do we know if the non-Cod fish shop was in Scotland or England/Wales? If Scotland, those two may still be working there; if not, then it may be all three fish that we should put vs M have now ended in Scotland but all still working in England/Wales.0 -
Thank you - I may give it a try.
when you say TC number, can you remind me which one this is please?
Also, 'wait for it to be accepted' - is this literally just waiting or do you have to press something to accept?
Many thanks in advance
When you've entered the TC number from the bottom of the receipt it initially reduces your balance remaining shown at the bottom of the screen as it used to, presumably whilst it checks the validity of the APG.
About 10 seconds later it pops up with another screen, showing which vouchers have been accepted and which are going to be voided off. Just check your voucher comes up in the left of the two columns before putting any money in.0 -

Thank you - and if it doesn't appear in the left hand column?
Then panic I presume :rotfl:0
