Crisps still working from a 4.20 shop, sa wouldn't accept an apg though as she said asda are not accepting them at the moment due to problems?!

12 items (6 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda Sainsbury's
    1x Wham Raspberry Flavoured Bar (16G) £0.10 N/A
1x Swizzels Refreshers Chew Bar (SINGLE) £0.10 N/A
    1x Giant Strawberry Stripes (1PK) £0.10 £0.10
    1x Haribo Starmix (1PK) £0.10 £0.10
    1x ASDA Fresh Milk Semi Skimmed (4PT) £0.89 £1.00
    4x Jacob's Crisps Sour Cream & Chive (150G) £7.56 £4.00
    1x MAOAM Sour Giant Stripes Cola & Lemon Flavour (1PK) £0.10 N/A
    1x Barratt Flumps (12G) £0.10 £0.10
    4x Jacob's Crisps Thai Sweet Chilli (150G) £7.56 £4.00
    Comparison total (compared products only)

"Problems" could be all those problems they're having with the scanning though, as they can't work out which barcodes they ought to be scanning. My store now has this new system. I had one yesterday - they did one of the vouchers correctly (appearing on the receipt as "APG") but the other - "MANUF. COUPON" - needed a supervisor override. There's three barcodes to choose from - two on each voucher and one on the original receipt. They keep scanning each of the two on the vouchers themselves - tills come up "scan other barcode" and that's what they think it means. I think they should be scanning one of the voucher barcodes (though I don't know which one) and the original receipt. SA yesterday apparently - I didn't do the shop - was asking one of her colleagues whether she needed to keep the voucher or throw it away. I don't know what training, if any, any of the staff have had. One of them said none of the vouchers scanned at all - supervisor insisted it was the way the voucher was printed. As I said to SA, they do not get the point: none of the vouchers scan. Unless it is that they are scanning the wrong two barcodes, which is probably the case (since no-one appears to have been told what they should be scanning). Introduce a new system and tell none of the staff. Sounds about right.

I would not be surprised at all if your SA has simply got the wrong end of the stick and by "A are not accepting them" simply means that that store isn't accepting them, because they simply can't work out how to scan them (and doubtless it's causing queues at checkouts as frustrated staff and customers wait around for supervisors to come and override on every voucher).

I was informed by SA today that any APG over £3 needs to be authorised by a Supervisor - how true that is - who knows :rotfl:

Mum had a £4 off £30 spend in co op expiring today. So thought I would see if I could get my 9 stella there, make the shop up to £30 with toilet roll etc and use my stella vouchers too.
Shop went through ok £4 deducted but when the sa tried to scan the stella vouchers, they wouldn't scan. Called supervisor over who said because the stellas are on a offer (2 for £4) they cant accept them :( Told them nicely that I don't want the stellas then.
Will try my luck in T's next

Random thought but in Ms isn't there some sort of Christmas card where you can collect stamps when you spend a certain amount, or am I imagining that?

Surely you cannot use these (I think I am innocent compared to you all!_ x

I normally nip over and take it actually and claim it as if it were a womble:rotfl:. They'll keep it around - they aren't organised enough to throw it away and I'll probably find it next time I visit, and then find it's later than 28 days from their shop.

On that, actually, note that under the new system, it appears no longer to be a strict 28 days 0 hours from the time of the actual shop. I had one womble recently and it was on it's 28th day:eek:. Obviously I rushed it into the APG system the first one I possibly could and I thought I'd missed it, but it did actually come up with a comparison and voucher (then valid for 28 days). I had another around the same time - must have returned to the store and dumped their receipts from a month ago - I thought the one that gave the voucher (they both gave a comparison) was within time - but I checked and the shop was about 11am, I checked at 4.30 in the afternoon, on the 28th day itself (exactly 4 weeks from their shop) and, in the recent past, this would have failed - would have to be checked before 11am on the 28th day - I thought it was something to do with the clock hour having turned back - but this one was several hours later. So, if you find receipts on the 28th day, you may still have time to check them as long as, I imagine, checked before midnight that day (or maybe 1am the following morning if the system is still on BST - I wouldn't chance it though and just check at as soon as you see it and are at a computer with internet access). Or maybe the system is glitching and allowing claims much later - so, try them even if it looks out of time in case it might not be!
