disgusted and yet very tempted by this all at the same time :rotfl: My feet are now much better since I was forced to abandon the summer sandals and put socks and thick winter tights on - or at least I am no longer looking at their awfulness except in the shower.

someone on the poundland thread found this book and I've been trying to hunt it down ever since with no success

I didn't have any shopping planned for today but earlier I shifted a packet item in the freezer and, amazingly, managed to create enough room from the rest for exactly 2 packs of Young's Gastros:D. I was picking someone up and popped into the small A supermarket near to me - hoping to spend a £4.50 APG on a cooked meat and some socks (yes I need more of them - thought I'd seen some in the small supermarkets anyway). With the cooked meats having been £1.38 before, I thought they might be £1.50 - but, no such luck, A wants us to buy 2 for £3:( to get that and has put the individual price up to £2! There were some Bernard Matthews packs at £1.50, but they are the 7 pack slices and £1 elsewhere - besides I don't know what's happened to BM slices, but I'm not really liking them: don't seem as good quality these days as the A ones.

So, with my annoyance at yet another price increase (after the Honey Nut Corn Flakes last time:mad:) - and they didn't have the men's socks anyway - I ended up having to go to the big A in any event (although, fortunately, it's not too far away from them). I had looked in the small A for the Young's but, as I saw Sal suggesting earlier, it looks like they don't have Dusted Cod in the supermarkets, just the other two versions (as far as we're concerned Avs M).

My two eventual shops were not as good as they could have been but still a success. I'd seen the SP Cooked Ham showing £1.65:eek: on the shelf in the small store (and £1.50 in Sains. so I'm not paying that: I'm not buying enough items and A would require me to buy 7 further items again:mad:). I found the socks and saw some ham at £1.49 in the big store - maybe not quite the same version - but at least I could spend my not quite £4.50. I lost out on the £2 GC though as I didn't manage to be overcharged: the ham went through at the correct £1.49 price:rotfl:. Not to worry - not too much lost.

I had a further fiver voucher to spend. There must be a lurker on here who uses that big store. The Dusted Cod was completely gone - I bet it's whoever bought all those six packs earlier! - but the other two versions were there. As were a few Beer Batters that not many people seem to be bothered with nowadays. I should stop saying that the Dusted Cod is the best one:rotfl:. So, I had to settle for the Lemon and Pepper instead and the fillers. So not quite as good but nice helpful voucher and not too much to spend.

Sal was quite right earlier - often you can spend some vouchers and pick up wombles and get your original amount, or even a bit more, back. Ignoring my shop that was just the socks and ham and therefore just killing that one, of course I want my fiver fish shop back!

I'm relying on a single womble:( from today - unfortunately there weren't any more than that! I'm lucky! I thought the receipt looked as if it didn't contain anything too daft that lost drastically against Morries and had some good items even if mbuys showed. It turns out to be over a fiver back. All the mbuys show and they bought a single Munch Bunch at full price £1.59. Helpfully however, they missed the mbuy on the Bisto meals and bought the optimum of two at a nowadays higher A price:T.

I think the 100 pack Food Bags might be S/P and only looks better because A's price went up. They are like the bags you pick up to put fruit and veg. into in the aisles - not sure why someone would buy a pack nowadays (although I have done so myself in the past).

A couple of items missing - the cucumber not picked up and the Carrots are 60p in M, but not too much to worry about. I wonder if they are using the same agency that used to (or maybe still does) get the M prices for Mr T - they used to miss a few of the M fresh fruit and veg. a few years back as well.

Avs M womble, dated today. Comparable mbuy pricing in bold.

I won't - its pretty obvious that Im banging my head against a brick wall but I find it so hard to believe that everyone reckons greed on this scale is OK. No wonder FC got hacked off with all the creeping - I'm with her on this one.

I am sure there are lots of us that don't think it's ok, across our own individual lines maybe but there are all sorts in this world and sometimes you just have to get along.

We are such a diverse group there are always going to be extreme personalities, yes Henlans I am saying you are extreme. But then to my family and friends so am I with my shopping habits.

My gut feeling is my family have had to learn to live with me and maybe The Elite has to learn to live with Henlans....but maybe not be in the same room all of the time. ;)

Its not the greed so much that gets me, but the need to brag, especially about glitches that have not been shared, or the little 'in-jokes' about items that have been glitching for a while, and about to be shared (or not). I find it childish, egotistical, and just not needed. If people want to share, good, if they dont, well don't come on and brag about such things, keep them to your private groups. There are people that read this thread that rely on the glitches, and to rub their noses in it in this fashion is not a very nice trait.

    b) 200 tear out coupons and leave the magazines
    c) 200 magazines and throw away everything except the coupons
