About time banks are made accountable

Pleased to see so many people not being intimated and ill adviced by banks .
20+yrs ago we found ourselves in financial hardship ,spoke to bank manager and we were encouraged!! to extend existing loans .
After receiving weekly letters to advice of overdraft charges , (each letter alone cost £25..plus ,received 3 letters in one week 1 day after i had been to speak to them to inform i was going to be made redundant) .
i attempted to claim on mortgage insurance only to be informed not entitled to claim as husband was first name on joint account ie Mr** and Mrs**.
I can honestly say that if it was not for CAB helping me i would not be here to tell the tale .
Each case i hear of someone receiving PPI claims helps towards alleviating my feelings of bitterness
