Transfering money

Hi,
The sitution I'm in is that I'm going to be receiving some money from Canada (from a bank account) that I want to maximise when it hits my UK current account and was wondering what the best way to do this is.
I've seen references to www.tranzfer.com on the site, but their rates don't actually seem that good when I compared to what my bank would charge me. (1CAD = 0.46 with tranzfer or 0.47 with the bank).
I've also looked at www.travelex.com and while their rates seem good, they don't explain whether there are any additional charges or quite how well it will work when transfering money between bank accounts (rather than picking up cash at one of their offices).

The bank account in Canada isn't mine and is a business account, but the people there are prepared to work with me on maximising my return.

Hope someone has some ideas
Thanks
Alan
