Endsleigh trying to weasel out of paying, help please

I had a car accident 1 month ago (not my fault) and my car has been written off, they've been dragging their heels so badly already and were meant to give me an offer today but instead, I got a call telling me that my case has 'gone to their underwriters'.

The reason? My car was a lease car which my mother bought for me as I couldn't get credit back in 2007 due to my age. I paid her back monthly by cash (which I have no way of proving).

The VC5 document is still officially in her name despite the MOT cert, insurance and all repairs being in mine. Endsleigh seem to be trying to cite this as a reason for not honouring my insurance which will utterly screw up my life as I can't afford another car.

Has anyone else ever come across a problem like this? I'm so stressed and worried :(

This looks as though you misinformed them about who the RK was.

Wait and see what they say before considering what to do next.

(Was anybody else involved - if so, and they are to blame, then you can claim against the third party insurer)

When taking out insurance you would have been specifically asked is this car owned and registered in your name, you have lied and said yes
