Rayotec Solar Panels - are they legit?

I've just received a letter from Rayotec stating that they have now processed my deposit for solar panel installation, despite the fact that I have never even met anyone within the Company, nor have ever signed a single piece of paper with them. I have had a quote which was not satisfactory, but was not in attendance at the quote so did not sign anything with them. Very worried that they do not appear to be a reputable Company at all if they can even threaten to take a deposit from someone without any signatures from the home owner...!

They don't call back when they are supposed to, they hang up on you, and they take £1600 out of your account without any authority.

How can a company get your hard earned money when you never met anyone? you must have given them authorization ie bank details they cant just plug them out of thin air and take your money

As above Deposit requires you to pay cash cheque credit card or give your bank details .

So you must have give them your debit card details over the phone, since you've never met them face to face. Why would you do that before even getting a quote? And you are surprised they've helped themselves to the deposit?
