Slam the new novel by Nick Hornby bestselling author of Fever Pitch and About A Boy is coming out in October 2007!
Slam stars Sam, a 16 year-old skater whose girlfriend gets pregnant and his whole world flips upside down. He turns to his idol for advice, skate legend Tony Hawk, talking to him through the poster on his bedroom wall.
Which role model would you turn to for guidance? Which hero deserves a place of honour on your bedroom wall?
You could WIN the chance to have your poster of your hero exhibited at London’s Design Museum and be a VIP at Slam’s London Launch Party
Just design a poster of your hero
Your poster should be at least A3.
Email it to slam@spinebreakers.co.uk
Or post to Slam, 34-44 Tunstall Road, London, SW9 8DA and mark entry Slam Competition
Drop into: The Design Museum, 28 Shad Thames, London SE1 2YD
Your poster should be at least A3 size. If you’re sending your entry digitally it shold be a .pdf or .jpeg and be 300dpi.

All entries will be open to the public vote to create a shorlist of finalists. (You can vote for yourself and get all your mates to vote for you too!)
The panel including Nick Hornby will judge the final shortlist
The winner and finalists will get to hang out at the launch party of Slam at The Design Museum to see their work exhibited.
The winner will have their print made into an official limited run to feature amongst a well known artist and of course you will have your work shown at the Design Museum – which usually you only get to do after you’ve been in the biz for years!
