Buying from Dabs or Overclockers?
Comments

Both companies are very good and reputable. You should have no issue when buying something so high end especially.0

Overclockers are great. Their HQ is just down the road from me though, so I just pop in :P0

The best price is from Dabs or Overclockers and comes with a free game.
I haven't dealt with these companies before.
When he built his PC most parts came from Ebuyer or Amazon. We had issues with a couple of parts and both Ebuyer and Amazon were fantastic at replacing them.
These sites are quite a bit more expensive than Dabs or Overclockers and Amazon doesn't include the game.
any thoughts please on Dabs or Overclockers?
thanks

Both companies are fine. Also try one called Aria.co.uk. Similar to Dabs.0

That's one expensive card.
Is he into heavy gaming ?
If not then no point for that card.0 -

I was concerned about how easy things can be returned if they are faulty or unsuitable.
The graphics card makes me feel ill ! It is very, very expensive £500 + but he has saved his own money and done the research.

Very big case? (Dimensions: L=282mm, W=110mm, H=43mm)
Monitor the size of a shop window to take advantage of this card?;)0 -

I would like him to wait too..
Thanks, we had a measure up before reading your post and there isn't enough room in his case for this card..... so back to the drawing board.
I would really like him to see about overclocking the card he has before buying another one.

I have bought from Dabs and overclockers, Not used either for a while as they do not seem as competitive as ebuyer and scan and aria etc.
Although you always need to check because sometimes bargains are out there at unexpected places. I bought a VAX from Littlewoods because it was cheaper than everywhere else. I had to double check and triple check the price was not a mistake or a monthly payment, but it arrived and the price was correct.
Have you done your homework on cards over 3GB of RAM? You maybe in for a surprise.
Overclocking the cards enough to notice an improvement during gameplay may produce quite a bit of extra heat.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
