question regarding barclay card

hello,
i have checked my account online with barclay card and i have notice a contradiction.
i paid off the balance of £39.00 and on the main page if says "payment recieved £39.00 no further action required" i paid it on the 26th of oct.
if i go to my statements it says " statement for 19 oct 2015 balance -£39.00
payment received £0.00
i am confused as to whether it has been paid? at first i assumed that this statement isnt refreshed and because it was raised before i paid it , it has stayed the same?
regards

The statement tells you the balance on the statement date 19 October.
Your payment on 26 October does not change the statement balance; that still shows what the balance was on 19 October.
The payment will have reduced the current balance, which is what you see online.
You'll get a new statement on 19 November. That will show your payment, and any purchases you've made since the last statement.
It's not a contradiction, you're just seeing the balance as it was on two different dates.0
