please give us an example of the file you are trying to open0

What's your browser? Go to the actual folder (e.g. right-mouse click and Goto containing folder). Then right-mouse click the file and "Run as administrator". any luck?0

The OP is using a phoneChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
What are you downloading?
What apps do you have that can open the type of file you are downloading?
Is your browser changing the file type (extension) when it is downloading it? Or does the name appear correct.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -

ive got office mobile onenote excel powerpoint and onedrive
excel is saying it "can't open some older graphical objects" (they are files from work ....work inotes )
the attachments are XLSM
the name is staying the same0 -
XLSM is a macro enabled excel file ..
Chances are your phone cant run or understand the macros .
Or the macros are trying to do some funky stuff that only a PC would understand.
Go back to the PC and save the file as XLS or XLSX and you should be able to open it on your phone .
You will most likely lose some of the functionality from the sheet though0 -
