last minute 4-7 day holiday next week - quiet & beautiful

Any ideas? Looking for a last minute holiday to somewhere beautiful next to the sea, quiet, cultural, good food. (not looking for a party, nightclubs, chip shops or high rise hotels!)

Leaving Monday 27th PM or Tuesday 28th all day for 3/4/5 nights, (could do 7 nights but quite difficult) for 2 people, upto £400 - maybe £500 for something special, flying from any London Airport - (Gatwick or Heathrow preferred).

or Alternatively a short Golf break.. if it's next to the sea and they do lessons.

Is the budget you have per person or a total for you both?

per person --- want a good price but if something really special popped up, we'll pay up to £500 pp.

Would like to avoid noisy nightclubbing type resorts, have already done Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt
I like the sound of Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Portugal .... etc. but really completely open minded about where we go... but I guess no where needing a Visa because we won't have time to get one.

How about Milan? I kow its not by the sea but its very close to the Italian Lakes

Venice ...you can either do city or beach there same dates flights from Gatwcik £387 for both


Santander £216 for both leaving Stanstead on same dates and see some real Spain

Iceland same dates £580 for 2

Just ad hotel/apartments on top

We enjoyed Menorca, just avoid Cala N Bosch. Golf - Algarve.

Hopefully you'll be sorted by now. If not, why not look at Airflights.co.uk to see what cheap flights are available then do some research on google about the area they are going to and where would be easy to travel to if you hired a car. You might find a cheap flight pops up to somewhere you'd never think of going. then go on to the Trip adviser website forum and see what people say about the area. Or holiday truths forum. then go onto an accommodation only website - owners direct, holiday-rentals or just type villa rental into google and you could end up with a lovely cheap holiday.
