My partner and I I receiving working tax credits based on our working hours with an average of 26 hours each. I'm in a seasonal job and would normally be paid off this week but have the chance to perhaps stay on over the closed 8 week period (but will have no hours for the next two weeks then am unsure how many but expect about 18) my partners on an eight hour contract but has always had between 22 and 30 however the last few weeks has only had about 10 hours again expecting more as xmas arrives. How should I approach this with tax creds? I need to think about applying for housing benefit until things pick up but need tax creds sorted first. I have one child at home of school age btw.
