Combi vs standard boiler?
Comments

Yes, it is an oil fired system and we started off thinking of adding solar. The combi quote man says that it will soon be possible to connect solar panels to combi boilers, so a combi with no hw cylinder would not rule out solar panels in the future.
It is currently possible to fit solar panels to a combi boiler. Before you buy your boiler, ask the manufacturer if it's been designed to be used with pre-heated water. Get this in writing if at all possible.0 -
Hey all I'm new to this as im sure you all can see. I have a combi boiler system and recently had a solar hot water heating system fitted for only £5950! Thought that seemed pretty good value to me. The company i puechased mine off reckon that they can fit to most makes of combi. Dunno if this helps?0
