MyHermes refund, how long does it take?

Options
I had to cancel two orders for parcels, as my settings set for under 1kg but those two parcels were over, then put a new order through for them.
This has been done on Monday, and the website still showing as awaiting refund. Do you know how long it usually takes and is it something that I will have to chase up? Thanks :)

  • It usually happens within 2-3 days. If it doesn't and you use social media, give them a gentle nudge and they will sort it out.

I find it normally takes 5 days. It also normally happens about 2am in the morning. I suspect they have no way of stopping a parcel in transit if the label has been cancelled, hence they make sure you haven't sent the parcel before they give you your money back.

Thanks Mrcol1000, that actually does makes sense, and yes you were right about early hours in the morning, it was processed at 00.32 this morning!

I've had to chase them LOADS of times. But Texas suggested social media usually gives them a kick up the backside

It's amazing how social media can change the outcome of the problem
