Dragon Oil Share Claim

I hope the following information will help anyone who finds themselves with the same questions I had.
Back in the 1990's I bought some Dragon Oil shares when there was a rumour they would increase in value in the coming months.
I have moved house so did not receive any documents about the ENOC acquisition earlier this year.
I have received a letter today from Capita advising they can arrange for me to be paid for the shares for a fee of 15% + 20% VAT. It does say that this is optional and that I can claim directly from the Registrar which is also a Capita service. I appreciate that I have been traced by them doing an address search but the fee for my shares would be £260.24 so I would prefer to claim directly.
The details of how to claim are not clear in the letter but I called and have been advised that the process is to ignore the prepaid envelope and send the original share certificate and a covering letter to a different Dublin address. That address is Capita Asset Services, Shareholders Solutions (Ireland), 2 Grand Canal Square, Dublin, DO2 A342.
The guy I spoke to said that it will take 6 weeks to process rather than 30 days if I pay the fee for them to do it.
Kind regards,
Tracey

Sorry for the delay in replying Grazzah. The guy said there is no fee if you do it direct and have the original share certificate. Otherwise there is a fee but I didn't ask what that would be as I have my certificate.
The fees I mention in my original post means you can apply without the certificate apparently.
Hope this helps,
