Barclays/ReAssure Personal Pension plan

I took out a Barclays Life personal pension in approx. 1994 when I was working. I paid into it until 1999, and it's been on hold ever since due to me raising a family.
Some time between 2010-2012 it was transferred to a company called 'ReAssure'.
There is currently a transfer value of £10800.
I don't know what type of pension this is or the rate? not knowing much about pensions, and am wondering if this pension is worth 'transferring' to a better one?

There is no rate applied to pensions. Given the year you started it, it will likely be a personal pension.not knowing much about pensions, and am wondering if this pension is worth 'transferring' to a better one?
All the ex Barclays ones I have come across were easy to justify to moving out. However, in your case, it would depend on what you would move it to and the existing terms it has.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks. I have no idea what I would move it to, or what the terms are.
It has been growing slowly at about £1k per year, so maybe I should just leave it where it is. It's about another 15 years before I can do anything with it anyway.I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
You could ask an IFA to do a review. With 15 years, the cost of an IFA would easily be recovered with lower charges on modern plans (assuming yours is like most ex Barclays plans).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
