Do you know if the stylist you were booked with actually was employed by the hairdressers or did they just rent a chair in the premises?
That could influence the way you were treated.

When we went the first time we got the impression it was her salon, although a franchise.
There was only one other member of staff at the time who was a junior and all she did was a trim for one customer. Both myself and my daughter were in there for some time as we had highlights done. She talked with my daughter about what colour she would have next time.0
