Barclaycard Freedom points

Options
Not sure if this is better posted here or in the Shopping forum but...anyone with a good balance of Barclaycard Freedom points, they are running a double up weekend starting tomorrow (Friday 13th Nov).

I think you can buy vouchers from your points half price too. Check the leaflet from your last bill for details!

Does anyone have a handle on which vouchers (if any) are generally better value?

    i'm interested in this..
i have a BFR card, which i opened for the balance transfer, but have also added some spending to the card recently as was offered a 0% on spending which goes on beyond the end of my BT deal...[and i have been assured by them that spending won't mess up my deal-new territory for me:eek:]..so have some FR points for the first time. need to work out whether this is a spending scheme to bother with going forwards:think:.

If anyone has points to spend - vouchers for Argos, BHS, Boots, Currys PC World, Nandos and Cineworld are all available this weekend only for half the number of points they usually cost.
    Happy Christmas shopping!

Also "bpay" devices if you want to set up to use their contactless payment system (not sure why you'd bother when you can just use the credit card without any extra gadgetry but what do I know :D)

Be patient though, the website is running quite slowly for some reason...

Thanks for the tip. Do you know if the vouchers are only available to use this weekend or is it just you have to order them this weekend to use fewer points?
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

I ordered Argos vouchers - they will arrive by post in 7-10 days so I'm hoping they can be spent some time after that ;)

It's just that they cost fewer point if you order them now.

  • Seems like the promo may have ended or changed - Boots vouchers no longer half price...
