Is there such a removals service

Hopefully moving soon from a flat to a house
My flat is on the third floor with no lift, so we will need to dismantle some of our furniture to get it out (bed, sofa, dining table, wardrobes)
Do removal companies offer a service where they will assemble your furniture for you when its in the new place?

There are companies that will do almost anything for you - it will effect how much they cost though.
http://www.pickfords.co.uk/removals-packing-services#.VkRWOoTw65YThat sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Just make absolutely sure you have it in writing from them what the quote covers, and check when the workers arrive that they are fully aware of this so you can immediately phone the company if needed.0

As an alternative to dismantling the furniture and having it carried downstairs, you could investigate removal companies that hire furniture hoists.
Although it's dependant on the size and type of your windows - whether there are large casements or sashes that can be removed etc, and the access around the building.
I suspect they are expensive to hire, but I guess that's offset by the amount of time (labour costs) they save.
If you google something like furniture hoist removals, you might find something in your area.0 -
I've gotten disassembly and reassembly of my bed and sofa included in the quote for removals from anyvan.com. I'd recommend getting quotes on there as well as for removal firms, especially if all your stuff will fit in a Luton van.0

When I moved, the movers dismantled and re-constructed the stuff which needed it.
I was paying for packing, though. I think f you do your own packing then you may need to specify, when you get the quotes, what it covers.
If you are going to be taking stuff to pieces yourself, have a small bag and put any instructions, plus the bolts/screws/other fixings into the bag and label it, and then either have all of the bags in one, easily accessible place or tape each one firmly to the bit of furniture it relates to.All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
Don't forget insurance especially if dismantling/hoisting where loos/damage is more likely.
With an approved removal company, your existing contents insurance may cover you (check accidental damage).
And check the company has insurance. Cheap one-van outfits may not.0 -

Every removal company I got a quote from offered this service. It was just a question of how much, with packages ranging from the basic you pack and we move your boxes. To the full packing service, clothes into carriers and disassemble / reassemble of all furniture. All depends how much you are willing to spend.0

This should be standard with most 'proper' removal companies (not just man and van types), even if you don't opt for the packing service.
When you get them round to quote, point out which pieces of furniture will need dismantling and ask if they'll reassemble at the other end, but I'd expect the answer to be yes from all of them.0 -
I've just moved and the dismantling and re-assembling of furniture was included in the quote (I didn't use the packing service. They only needed to dismantle my bed and the wardrobe in the end and they did it unbeliveably quick - especially the reassembling bit - oh and they look after all the bits, I didn't get involved.0
