Virgin Bank - what day will my wages hit

So I have recently changed banks from Santander to Virgin. This month my wages are due on Monday 23rd, and with Santander they would have been available from the monday. However a couple of colleagues have said their's are available from Saturday when payday is a monday but they banks with Barclays.
Does anyone know what day they will go into a Virgin account?

in short, no..
but perhaps your employer banks with Barclays, and so the payments to colleagues arrive and are available instantly?
unless there's a really important reason i wouldn't worry, i would just bank with who you want to bank with and receive your salary and use it as you need/choose:)0 -

Some banks process Monday's credits and debits early. Barclays may be one of them (although I think the banks that do it are phasing it out.)
You'll be paid, at the latest, by Monday morning.0 -

It's an old wives tale. Banking with the same bank as your employer makes no difference.
They'll specify the date it should be paid in with their BACS direct credit instructions.0 -
It used to be the case that some intra-bank payments would bypass the BACS cycle.
When I was a student, the Student Loans would arrive earlier in NatWest and RBS accounts than other bank accounts. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
