external wall insulation - timber cladded

Hi
can anyone advise on external wall insulation.
I have tried searching but with no luck.
I live in a timber framed house with timber cladding. Cannot have cavity insulation as you cannot bridge. There is no brick just timbers.

I would consider having the timbers stripped but would need to brick up then ? Can I get it rendered over ?

Thank you

You won't be able to render directly over timber. You will need to strip it off and either brick up or fit insulating cladding and render or board over. An insulating waterproof wood fibre board then timber clad was used on Grand Designs the other week
