Student/graduate overdraft question

Options
Hi there.

I have a student overdraft. The bank have informed me that they are moving it to a graduate account at the start of September. Basically, I had one exam which I flunked, so I took a resit in August. I don't get my results until the second week of September. What should I do here? I have just finished third year. Obviously there is a chance that I may fail the resit. Will the bank be able to keep me on a student overdraft, since I don't know my results? Or will they perhaps leave me without a student or a graduate account? I feel physically sick at the thought of this as I currently am a good bit into this overdraft.

Sorry if my post sounds a bit rambling and/or neurotic but I'm slightly on edge just now, between that and my pending exam result.

Cheers

Banks usually just keep you on a student account for 3/4 years and then change it to a graduate account unless you inform them otherwise. I wouldn't worry about it.

LLoyds TSB. I think I'm going to go and visit my local branch and see what they say.

I'm unfortunatley with LloydsTSB. They automatically give you a student account for four years, they then change it to a graduate account.

I had a gap year between my undergrad and my masters and am now forced to maintain a graduate account with a declining free overdraft even though I'm still a student! I called and asked if they could amend this situation and they said no - but that I'm free to go elsewhere if I wish!

Go back in to your branch with proof you are still a student and tell them to change it as you are a student and not a graduate. I did this recently, I changed from being a graduate to a student again and was told over the phone I probably couldnt. A quick visit to my local student branch with proof of being a student and they nicely changed it back for me.
